The Nostalgia Machine Songs of Geo & Eleanor's youth(1950's - 1960s)
Girls and Guys, Mum and I Rock and Rolled and Moondanced to these above songs, and many many more and on your Scottish visits you got a little of our Scots culture(Cameron, you're next for the Grand tour!)
When I met Eleanor Creighton Polland at Whitburn Miners Welfare Hall( a bit like the Workers Clubs in Aus) it was Ladies Choice, and I asked her to dance. It was the height of Elvis and all the 'decadent' days of youth, according to the past generations! They must have played up something terrible to know what they thought that we were doing!!
My 'Lady' Eleanor with her beautiful coiffed bun atop a golden red hair, was - and still is - absolutely stunningly sophisticatedly beautiful.
'Her eyes they sparkled like diamonds' a song that must have been written with the lovely Eleanor in mind.
And, dance? 'Like a diamond in the sky' as was written in anithir song
That was it! Love at first sight
And now as I write this, my wee redheided dynamo is plying her mandolin talents, areadying herself for a musical festival in Scotland wae hir wee pal, Jan in June 2015
Just got to keep up the guid health needed and supported by our family's 'girls & boys'
