From Mum - 2016 - reminds us of the lovely time we had there with them. It is the third bridge over the Forth. There is the Forth Road bridge, thee forth rail bridge and now the Queensferry crossing bridge. http://www.forth-bridges.co.uk/queensferry-crossing/about.html
From Mums friend This photo appeared on Facebook today with the following message
written by a friend of a friend - an interesting perspective and
beautiful photo. I hear folks are calling the bridge the Caledonian
Harp.
Thought it may be of interest you too in Canada, Germany, NZ and OZ.

BUILDING BRIDGES
The Unionists did not want it and slagged it off at every opportunity. Yet the Scottish Government stuck to their guns and as a result this magnificent piece of engineering has been built on time and within budget.
Scotland can be proud of this wonderful landmark and the people who made it possible. We are a clever and capable nation despite assertions to the contrary from Unionists north and south of the border always talking Scotland down.
When you get the opportunity to travel across the new bridge and marvel at its construction just remember, if it was up to Scottish Labour, the Scottish Conservatives and the Scottish Liberals the bridge would not have been built at all.
As the right wing Conservative Government in London gets ready to leave the European Union their Branch Managers in Scotland get ready to do as they are bloody well told as per usual. Meanwhile the democratically elected Scottish Government is determined to build bridges with our European neighbours in accordance with the overwhelming wishes of the Scottish electorate and in defiance of the arrogant Unionists in Westminster.
To all the engineers and workers who built the bridge and all the people behind the scenes who made it happen a very big thank you. When the Unionists are hell bent on burning all their bridges the people we actually elected to govern us are determined to keep building them.
