Wallace's Monument Causewayhead Stirling Scotland

Maw oft stated 'I was born under the shadow of Wallace's Monument(at Causewayhead). Maw is now buried at Logie Cemetery, still under the shadow of Wallace! But, just a few miles down the road from her birthplace.

Nb this photo is taken in a different direction to Maw's birth and also her burial place. But, it gives you a perspective of how important Wallace is in Scots history. A history deficient in Scottishness, but nevertheless, remembered in our folks oral histories!

'Lang mae yir lum reek, Wullie, wae ithir folks coals!'
Scots, as a language, survives due tae Grannies et al and the tradition oh Scots Mithers nursin there wains oan traditional story tellin!
