Here's a nice photo of me with music and song friends.
on the left, is Wendy who sings, and who rang the choirs I went to. I went to the song course with her.
On the right is Eric, who along with Wendy and I attended the song course at Moniack Mhor in Aberdeenshire. Eric played the guitar for me on the recording of my song Schehallion. The handsome chappie in the middle might be someone you know!
In front of Eric is Maree, who plays and teaches the mandolin, and is linked with the Burns Club's massive schools event in Edinburgh.
She played for our friend Jim's birthday , who's involved with getting the heaps of schools involved in the Burns, music and song competition. We've been lucky enought to go to the finals the last two years.
Jim has organised Burns competition in schools all over the world, including Russia and China, but, sadly none in Sydney, but there are some in Victoria.
Maree, along with many other singers and players, played or sang for Jim's 75th while we were there. It was held in the Diggers pub (we thought an aussie name, but named after the diggers of the nearby cemetery.
Now the mystery is.....who is the guy behind us who looks like he's had more than one too many.
