Mum and Dad were married at the Armadale Methodist Church West Lothian Scotland.

Given our different religions it was a mighty effort of your Mum to step outside the Catholic Church to marry me.
The minister, understood the intricacies of religious nonsense and said to Mum, 'I’ll meet with your father…’ Mum said ’No’ as she was aware of the potential ructions involved.
As it was the minister spent most of the night chatting with your mum’s dad. They got on like a house on fire, just as MAW and your Mum’s Dad did. He absolutely adored your Grannie Ellis, ‘taking gardening lessons’ from her, which astounded your Mum, when she and you two wins went back to Scotland that year when you were wains. You sir git spoiled rotten with your doting Grannie and Grandad Polland, as well as your Grannie Ellis
Thank your Mum for her diplomacy skills and love for all she still does for ‘us yins'
