Letters from Mum

Hi Lisa & Dianne, and all the family.
Sorry we haven’t been in touch, first of all we have been busy beavers.  What with unpacking, and getting in touch with folks, and catching up on sleep, time just flies.But Dad is already deep into his history research. We have seen uncle Billy and mary, and uncle Alec and Eve. They are all well, and we all had a good yarn and some laughs together.  We sorely missed ```linda, tho’

We were both at a house party  come concert last week, too.  That was great fun, as my pal wee Jan (as everyone calls her} invited us to this party at her friend’s house.
It featured a well known singer/musician, who does house concerts when gigs are hard to get. `Everyone pays a tenner, and the hostess provides home made soup, and a filled roll. `you bring your own drinks.

The musician/singer was really great, and had a lot of humour, and at the end,  you just put into his hat whatever you like to give.

I went to the movies with Wendy one afternoon, and saw the Guernsey `Potato Peel Pie Society’.  It’s a great movie.
Dad &`i are also booked in to Warhorse `musical at the Festival Theatre next week. And `i’m going to a song afternoon with Wendy on Monday.   She is still recovering from the whooping cough, so has lots of time on her hands, so happy i’m here to pal around with.  In a week or two, ``i’ll be going with Wendy to a songwriting week at `Loch Lomond.  So we are kept busy and happy. Still have to visit Stirling, `and `uncle Freddy who is really very frail and sad now that Dolly has passed on. `he is well into his 90’s now.

We are  having technology problems, tho’, and we’e hoping we get this sorted tomorrow. We have confusion about phone numbers, too, and how much we’re getting charged. 


We did want to talk to all of you by Face Time, but can’t get it to work. When I try ti use it on my Ipad, I get the message, ‘not enough storage to make the call. It tells me go to storage and make some, but `i checked storage it, and double checked and `i have heaps of storage!      Various problems with our phones also, but will go up  tomorrow and see what they can do.  

I can receive face time calls,i believe, But can’t seem to make a call face time myself. If anyone wants to try calling us on that, that would be good.  (Note tho we’ll mostly be out all Saturday during the day after 9,30 am till 5 pm  We’ll likely be in Sunday morning.)

Tried emailing from my ipad too, as we definitely are linked to Ian’s site, which I’ve checked in my settings, but no luck.  So any advice will be welcomed.
I’m a tech disaster at present, but at least I can email through Dad’s email. hopefully it will all work out.
\Well must get off to bed.

Anyway, please let Megan know we’ve been thinking about her and wish her a very happy birthday, and a great year. Hope you are all well and happy.
