Mum and Dad waltzing away

Hi Ellie,
Thank you for your support this year at Toongabbie.
My lasting memories of Toongabbie for the year were happy ones, as I
watched you, Ellie and George waltzing away blissfully into the distance... In fact you were so inspiring, that when I left I decided to leave as the music was playing and I also waltzed away happily into the distance.
You two are trail blazers. I think you are starting a trend.
A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in 2018 !

                                                                   Cheers....Dot Newland.

Background story is that Dad came to pick me up late that night ( he didn't come to the party). As he came in they musicians were playing an old rock and roll tune, and Dad grabs me and we did a bit of rock and roll style dancing. It gave everybody a good laugh, and though normally I would have been very embarassed, the spirit of the night made it OK.  Also, I was pretty relaxed by that time, as I had organised most of the party stuff (a chicken dinner and salads fir 50! ),  with shopping for utensils, plate, etc, tho' the boys organised the drinks, and everything had gone smoothly

It was so nice of my friend to send this note to me, as I did feel a wee bit embarrassed later. Then again, I thought, I should be glad we can still rock and roll at 74, and 77!         Just a thought too, Dad will be 75 next year. We will be leaving the day before his birthday, so we might organise a little celebration for him the week before we go.  (I know, I know, lets get over Xmas /New year first).
Love Mum
