Granny's Apple and Rhubarb Pie

Our favourite thing as grandchildren (well for Lisa, but am sure it is the same for Dianne) was Grannies Apple and Rhubarb pie.

With apple and rhubarb, stewed to the perfect point where they kept their shape covered in a tasty shortcrust pastry base and top, they were something we all looked forward to.
